Venom 2 gets new release date

One more movie to get delayed from it’s original release date is a Venom 2 or Venom: Let There Be Carnage. If you are thinking that this terrible title is only a working title which will be changed before Venom 2 hits theaters, unfortunately that is not the case. Directed by Andy Serkis, who helmed Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle but is more known as an actor behind Gollum / Smeagol in LOTR, King Kong or Caesar in new Planet of the Apes trilogy, Venom 2 is a direct sequel to Ruben Fleischer’s Venom. Although first one was a generic and outdated superhero movie with rare bad performance from Tom Hardy it was a surprise hit so no wonder sequel is in the works.

Venom 2 will now open on June 25, 2021. Tom Hardy and Michelle Williams will reprise their roles with the addition of Woody Harrelson (who actually appeared for a minute at the end of first Venom) as main villain Cletus Kasady aka Carnage, a serial killer who will bond with alien symbiote and fight against Eddie Brock (Hardy).
